About Our Charity,

Development Dreams Attainment Foundation, is an interdenominational Christian Foundation, that has been serving the poor and homeless in downtown Mwanza,Tanzania  since 2013. Our core services include daily street outreach, a life skills program, and an arts program for street-engaged youth 

PURPOSE:
The main purpose for this ministry is to bring salvation to the communities that we are serving by preaching the GOOD NEWS - The gospel of the Kingdom of God through the Lord Jesus Christ.

VISION:
The main vision is to empower the entire community and those who are around them spiritually and physically so that they will be able to stand on their own, use their knowledge and all their God given gifts and talents to come out of the poverty, ignorance and become a nurturing and empowering community from within.

MISSION 
We are the voice that builds the bridge between all groups of people to the unified body of Christ with spiritual love, humility, compassion, wisdom, knowledge, understanding, honor and hope, which is in Christ Jesus.


We are called to come alongside people experiencing poverty and homelessness, demonstrate the message of Christ in deed and word, show compassion, build self esteem and empower individuals through a strength based approach.

GOALS:
To see that the message of SALVATION is being preach to all areas that we are going and to see that this message is also being preached with love, compassion and excellence to all people so that the impact will bring fruit to the Kingdom of God.

OBJECTIVES:
Our objectives are to empower the entire community so that everyone will be able to use every gift and talent to bring change into the community, by reaching out to people of all ages from children, youth, adults and the elderly to work together as a unit. 

The region that we are covering is deeply affected by strong witchcraft beliefs, ignorance and poverty, which leads to many of unnecessary deaths mainly the killing of the Albinos, this has become a major problem in this area, which force the people who are affected by this - Albinos to live fearful lives that deprives them of their rights of freedom, liberties and the pursuit of happiness. 

Another major problem is Sexual Transmitted Diseases - STD, this also is a major cause of many broken homes, HIV/AIDS, gonorrhea to name a few has claimed many lives and still affecting many families including infants, children and youths, because of lack of biblical teachings, moral values, and responsible parents, the youth are being affected more especially young girls by this and resulting to early teen pregnancies and STDs.

Since the area that we a covering is surrounded by the great Lake Victoria, water borne diseases are also one of the major problem that we are facing, diseases like Malaria, Bilharzia and Cholera to name a few are affecting many people especially the children. 

So we as a ministry are providing various training in life skills to everyone who lacks, from kindergarten to secondary school education level, elderly education and also biblical teachings to we ensure that no one is left behind. 

 We also provide healthcare services and counselling in all areas like medical and marital counselling for all those who need those services.


SUPPORT:
Our ministry is being supported by different organisations including our local church - (Evangelistic Assemblies of God Tanzania - LUMALA MPYA Church). 

 The church provides most of the counselors, the properties that are being used for education, healthcare and other social activities are being provided or owned by the church, also we receive support from local small businesses in finances and also providing training to those who have interest in starting their own businesses.
