WELCOME TO DEVELOPMENT DREAMS ATTAINMENT FOUNDATION, MWANZA.

Providing help to the needyDEVELOPMENT DREAMS ATTAINMENT FOUNDATION
(DDAF)

Our target is based on domestically abused children and other children who are victims of violence, elderly men in the society that can’t find help ad age is gone, prostitution and putting an end to it.

DDAF is a registered non-governmental organization based in Mwanza Tanzania based on two districts, Ilemela and Nyamagana and through running a rescue center called children’s dream home.

In so doing, we are still looking for sponsors. The main reason for all this is simply because we want to build a DDAF Center, where we shall deal with all the above and there shall be room for a few deceased.

We have managed to secure a plot of land and build an office with 3 rooms, toilet, reception and kitchen. We are still looking forward for its finishing. We still need help so as to finish the office and build a few more building for these children. Up to now we have 13 children but we expect to have more children in time. We have a plot and a building already.

We expect 50 children in three years time, thus up to 2020. So we still request for more sponsors to come in abundant so we can help these children and fulfill their desires, dreams and goals.

Our office still need finishing, we have fought to make sure we have a center for these children to meet although we still request for help. We still request for 5 office tables and chairs, 4 cupboard, 2 printer, 1 photocopier,5 laptops and 1 desktop for reception, 2 TV Screen for the children to watch. Above all that we need to do small finishing fir the building like putting windows and doors for security purpose.

We need a mini-bus for transporting the children to different destination if need arises. In case of picnics and other things that need transport.

As DDAF, we are fighting to our best to make sure that these children must achieve their dreams and goals. We shall stand hand in hand to make sure this whole progress is a success.

Education;
The entire society has to be educated for a better tomorrow. We have once been filled with doubts, fear and confusion. Education is what removes our doubts and fear, what makes us happy and peaceful, what makes us better human beings. But gaining knowledge alone is not enough, because it does not make one educated. Education is complete only when we learn how to live how to hope, how to pray and how to behave to others.

One day a man was walking in the desert when a voice called him and said, ‘Pick up some pebbles and put them in your pocket and tomorrow you will be both sorry and glad’ The man obeyed and the next morning when he reached into his pockets, he found Diamonds and Rubies and Emeralds.

And he was both glad and sorry. Glad that he had taken some and sorry that he had not taken more. The same is true with education. I believe in educating these children for they are our pillars for tomorrow’s nation. Both children deserve the best education so that we won’t be sorry about tomorrow.

If there is something that all men like, it can be nothing else but children. They conquer our hearts with their Angelic eyes and innocent smiles. It makes us realize that may be the way God wanted us to be.

Children build the nation sound and strong. One may think how these tiny tots can change the nation. Yes, they can, because today’s children are responsible citizens of tomorrow. And the foundation of knowledge, skills and attitude are laid in this impressionable period. These children deserve their rights as citizens and leaders of tomorrow. So they really matter and deserve special care and protection.

Remember that all Children have the rights;
-      * To be looked after by parents and family
-       *To have healthy food
-       *To feel safe at school and home
-       *To good Education
-       *To have special care and especially the sick and disabled

Children would at least receive 45dollars per month for their upkeep thus hospital case, school. This reduces a lot of burdens to parents who really can’t afford their children’s necessities. This makes children available to good education and better life and this is simply because, they have the rights to these.

Especially in our society, a lot of children need to be supported in so many things so that they can achieve their goals and dreams.

As Kofi Annan, the former General Secretary of the United Nations said, ‘There is no trust more sacred than the one the world holds with children’. There is no duty more important than ensuring that these children’s safety and rights are well respected, that their welfare is respected, that their lives are free from fear and that they grow in peace

Elderly Men;
We all at some point going to get old in this life, at some point in your life may find yourself taking care of your parents or elderly members in your family, in the same way they cared for you. Am sure you can’t forget that time. We all desire to take care of elders in our society in more ways than one. They need to be fully handled with care love, affection and need fully attention and patience.

Taking care of elders can be very stressful at times because you need to help them with their personal needs, take care of their daily routine.
-       *Making preparations for their medical care
-       *Managing their finances
-       *Providing healthy and safe surrounding
-       *Arranging for adequate social interaction
-       *Making provision for their care when away
-       *Consider their health, financial and emotional problems

“One person caring about another represents life’s greatest value”

Prostitution;
With small evidence suggests prostitution is increasing both on the supply and demand sides. This being the case, trafficking for sexual exploitation in order to satisfy the demand seems unavoidable, certainly when considering the high profit rates for legal pimps and brothel owners, which have to be considered being even higher for those acting illegally.

Several studies prove that prostitution and prostitutes are at a heightened risk of violence, escalating to lethal violence. Therefore some women’s rights groups take the view that all ‘Prostitution should be regarded as a form of gender based violence’
We could all stop prostitution in our country through providing more jobs to women so that they could be able to take care of themselves and some of them are single parents, they can’t afford the necessities for the family so they end up being prostitutes but through starting small job opportunities to keep them busy, could stop this bad behavior and decrees diseases in the society.
